On 02 December 2024, a delegate of TEQSA renewed, under section 56 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by Technical and Further Education Commission, for a period of seven years until 02 December 2031:

• Bachelor of Business
• Diploma of Business
• Associate Degree of Business
• Bachelor of Creative Practice
• Diploma of Creative Practice

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that the courses submitted by Technical and Further Education Commission for renewal of accreditation continue to meet the applicable Standards of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021.

Renewal of CRICOS registration

Report on renewal of CRICOS registration of Stanley International College Pty Ltd

On 29 November 2024, TEQSA renewed, under section 10E of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act), the CRICOS registration of Stanley International College Pty Ltd (Stanley) for a period of 7 years until 11 September 2031, which aligns with the TEQSA registration date.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that Stanley complies and will comply with the requirements of the ESOS Act and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training 2018 (National Code).

Variation to ESOS registration condition

Report on the variation to the ESOS registration condition of Lyons Education Group Pty Ltd

On 5 September 2024, TEQSA:

• Varied, under section 10B of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act), the condition imposed on Lyons Education Group Pty Ltd (Lyons) ESOS registration:

Condition 1:

The maximum number of higher education overseas students that Lyons may provide a course to at Level 4, 303 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 does not exceed the following limits:

1. the maximum number of overseas students is 1050, and
2. the maximum number of higher education overseas students must not exceed 270 of the 1050.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision in light of the risk that the Lyons Education Group Pty Ltd may not comply, or continue to comply with, the following objectives of the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018:

• recruit responsibly by ensuring students are appropriately qualified and sufficiently informed for their chosen course (Standard 2)
• ensure that its education agents act ethically, honestly and in the best interests of overseas students (Standard 4)

Application to withdraw decision

In accordance with section 10B(1)(b) of the ESOS Act, TEQSA may vary or revoke a condition imposed on the registration of a registered provider at any time. TEQSA will consider any application by a provider for variation or revocation of a condition.

On 27 November 2024, TEQSA renewed, under section 36 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the registration of Federation University Australia as an Australian University, for a period of seven years until 27 November 2031.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that Federation University Australia continues to meet the applicable Standards of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021.

Report on renewal of registration and authority to self-accredit nominated courses of study of Jazz Music Institute Pty Ltd
