Report on renewal of accreditation of a higher education course of study offered by the Governance Institute of Australia Ltd

TEQSA has determined, under Section 56 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (the TEQSA Act), to renew accreditation of the following higher education course of study offered by the Governance Institute of Australia for a period of seven years until 21 May 2021:

• Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance

Background to Decision

The Governance Institute of Australia Ltd submitted an application for renewal of accreditation of a course of study under Part 4 of the TEQSA Act. Subsection 45(4) of the TEQSA Act requires a registered higher education provider who is not authorised to self-accredit the course of study to apply to TEQSA for accreditation. Subsection 56(4) enables TEQSA to renew accreditation of a course of study for a period not exceeding seven years.

Main Reasons for the Decision

TEQSA has determined that the higher education course of study submitted by the Governance Institute of Australia Ltd for accreditation complies with the Provider Course Accreditation Standards. The course accreditation covers delivery at all Australian sites.

Renewal of course accreditation in teach out mode

Report on the renewal of accreditation of one higher education course of study in teach out mode offered by Insearch Limited

TEQSA has determined, under Section 56 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (the TEQSA Act), to renew accreditation of the following higher education course of study in teach out mode offered by Insearch Limited for a period of six months until 30 December 2015:

• Diploma of Communication (Public Relations)

Background to Decision

Insearch Limited submitted an application for renewal of accreditation of one course of study in teach out mode under Part 4 of the TEQSA Act. The purpose of this decision is to facilitate the completion of studies by students enrolled in the course or the transition of students into other equivalent courses offered by the provider or other higher education providers. This also means that no further enrolments are permitted into this course.

Subsection 45(4) of the TEQSA Act requires a registered higher education provider, who is not authorised to self-accredit the course of study, to apply to TEQSA for accreditation. Subsection 56(4) enables TEQSA to renew accreditation of a course of study for a period not exceeding seven years.

Main Reasons for the Decision

TEQSA has determined that the Diploma of Communication (Public Relations) submitted by Insearch Limited for accreditation complies with the Provider Course Accreditation Standards.

Insearch Limited has demonstrated to TEQSA that it meets the Threshold Standards.

The course accreditation covers delivery at all Australian sites.

Report on the renewal of accreditation of one higher education course of study in teach out mode offered by Insearch Limited

TEQSA has determined, under Section 56 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (the TEQSA Act), to renew accreditation of the following higher education course of study in teach out mode offered by Insearch Limited until 30 June 2017:

• Diploma of Design (Visual Communication)

Background to Decision

Insearch Limited submitted an application for renewal of accreditation of one course of study in teach out mode under Part 4 of the TEQSA Act. On 17 November 2017 a delegate of TEQSA revoked, under subsections 53(2) and 53(3) of the TEQSA Act, the conditions imposed on the accreditation of the following course of study offered by S P Jain School of Global Management Pty Limited (refer public report of 22 June 2017):

• Diploma in Business

The decision to revoke the condition was made on the basis that the delegate was satisfied that the conditions had been met.

Report on renewal of accreditation of one higher education course of study in teach out mode offered by North Metropolitan TAFE

A delegate of TEQSA has renewed the accreditation, under Section 56 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (the TEQSA Act), of the following higher education course of study in teach-out mode offered by North Metropolitan TAFE for a period of one year until 31 December 2018.

• Associate Degree in Education (Early Childhood)

No new enrolments are permitted in the above courses.
