Report on revocation of conditions of accreditation of three higher education courses of study offered by ISN Psychology Pty Ltd

On 23 April 2017, TEQSA revoked, under Section 53(2) of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), a condition imposed on the accreditation of the following courses offered by ISN Psychology Pty Ltd (refer to public report of 1 February 2017):

• Master of Psychology (Clinical)
• Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)
• Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours)

The decision to revoke the condition was made on the basis that TEQSA is satisfied that ISN Psychology Pty Ltd has obtained Conditional Accreditation from the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council for the above courses.

Course accreditation

Report on revocation of condition of accreditation of two higher education courses of study offered by South Metropolitan TAFE

On 7 June 2017 a delegate of TEQSA revoked under section 53(2) of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (the TEQSA Act), the conditions imposed on the accreditation of the following higher education courses of study offered by South Metropolitan TAFE (refer public report 29 June 2016):

• Associate Degree of Fashion Business
• Associate Degree in Aviation (Operations Management)

The decision to revoke the conditions was made on the basis that TEQSA was satisfied that the conditions had been met.

Course accreditation

Report on revocation of condition of accreditation of two higher education courses of study offered by South Metropolitan TAFE

On 7 June 2017 a delegate of TEQSA revoked under section 53(2) of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (the TEQSA Act), the conditions imposed on the accreditation of the following higher education courses of study offered by South Metropolitan TAFE (refer public report 29 June 2016):

• Associate Degree of Fashion Business
• Associate Degree in Aviation (Operations Management)

The decision to revoke the conditions was made on the basis that TEQSA was satisfied that the conditions had been met.

Course accreditation

Report on revocation of condition of accreditation of one higher education courses of study offered by North Metropolitan TAFE

On 20 February 2017 a delegate of TEQSA revoked, under Section 53(2) of the TEQSA Act, Condition 1 imposed on the accreditation of the following course offered by North Metropolitan TAFE (refer public report of 28 April 2016):

• Associate Degree of Education (Early Childhood)

The decision to revoke the condition was made on the basis that TEQSA was satisfied that the conditions had been met.

Course accreditation and reaccreditation

Report on accreditation of three higher education courses of study and renewal of accreditation of two higher education course of study offered by Educational Enterprises Australia Pty Ltd (Eynesbury)

A delegate of TEQSA has accredited the following courses to be offered by Eynesbury under section 49 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (the TEQSA Act), for seven years from the date of decision;

• Diploma of Business Studies
• Diploma of Computing and Information Technology Studies
• Diploma of Engineering Studies

A delegate of TEQSA has renewed accreditation of the following courses offered by Eynesbury under section 56 of the TEQSA Act, for a period of seven years until 10 July 2022:

• Diploma of Business
• Diploma of Computing and Information Technology

Main reasons for decision

TEQSA has determined that the three higher education courses of study submitted by Eynesbury for accreditation, and the two higher education courses of study submitted by Eynesbury for renewal of accreditation comply with the Provider Course Accreditation Standards and arrangements for delivery at all Australian sites.

Revocation of registration condition

Report on revocation of a condition imposed on registration of the National Institute of Organisation Dynamics Australia Ltd

On 13 June 2019 a delegate of TEQSA revoked, under section 32 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Condition 3 imposed on the registration of the National Institute of Organisation Dynamics Australia Ltd (refer public report of 13 October 2016).

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that the condition was no longer necessary.

Condition

Report on imposition of one condition on the CRICOS registration of Elite Education Institute Pty Ltd

On 19 June 2019, TEQSA:

• imposed, under paragraph 83(3)(a) of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, one condition on the registration of Elite Education Institute Pty Ltd.

Condition 1: Suspension of student enrolments

From the date on which it is notified of this decision until 31 August 2019, Elite must not enrol or commence any new students in any of its higher education courses.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that, consistent with paragraphs 83(1C)(b) and (c) of the ESOS Act, TEQSA believes on reasonable grounds that Elite:

1. does not have the clearly demonstrated capacity to provide education of a satisfactory standard; or
2. has not been providing, or has not provided, education of a satisfactory standard.

Specifically, TEQSA holds substantial concerns that Elite Education Institute Pty Ltd:

1. is not delivering its courses so as to appropriately engage students in the course content in a manner consistent with the form of the course registered under the ESOS Act, and
2. has not ensured, and will not ensure, that assessment in its higher education courses has the necessary quality and integrity.

The condition imposes a time-limited restriction on the capacity of Elite Education Institute Pty Ltd to enrol or commence new students, while TEQSA finalises its ongoing investigation of the concerns it has identified.

Renewal of course accreditation

Report on renewal of accreditation of two higher education courses of study offered by Institute for Emotionally Focused Therapy Pty Ltd

On 7 June 2019, a delegate of TEQSA:

• renewed, under section 56 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by Institute for Emotionally Focused Therapy Pty Ltd, for a period of seven years until 7 June 2026:
  • Graduate Certificate in Emotionally Focused Counselling
  • Graduate Diploma of Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that the courses submitted by Institute for Emotionally Focused Therapy Pty Ltd for renewal of accreditation continue to meet the Provider Course Accreditation Standards of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2015.
