Report on accreditation of 3 higher education courses of study by Queensland Institute of Higher Education

On 8 July 2026, TEQSA rejected, under section 49 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the application by Queensland Institute of Higher Education for accreditation of the following courses:

• Master of Business Research
• Graduate Diploma of Business Research
• Graduate Certificate of Business Research.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was not satisfied that the courses submitted by Queensland Institute of Higher Education comply with the following provisions of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021:

1. Standards 5.1.3a and 5.1.3b in relation to course approval and accreditation.
2. Standards 6.2.1e in relation to corporate monitoring and accountability.
3. Standard 4.2.5 in relation to research training.
4. Standards 3.2.1 - 3.2.3, 4.1.2, 4.2.2, 4.2.3a and 4.2.3b in relation to staffing.
