Report on renewal of CRICOS registration of Southern Cross University

On 28 March 2024, TEQSA renewed, under section 10E of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act), the CRICOS registration of Southern Cross University for a period of 7 years until 28 March 2031.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that SCU complies and will comply with the requirements of the ESOS Act and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training 2018 (National Code).

Renewal of CRICOS registration

Report on renewal of CRICOS registration of National Art School

On 4 April 2024, TEQSA renewed, under section 10E of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act), the CRICOS registration of National Art School (NAS) for a period of 7 years until 4 April 2031.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that NAS complies and will comply with the requirements of the ESOS Act and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training 2018 (National Code).

Revocation of accreditation condition

Report on the revocation of condition imposed on accreditation of three (3) higher education courses of study offered by Australian College of Christian Studies Ltd (formerly Tabor College (NSW) Ltd)

On 02 April 2024 a delegate of TEQSA revoked, under section 53 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Condition 4 imposed on the accreditation of the following courses offered by Australian College of Christian Studies (refer public report of 9 December 2022):

• Master of Teaching
• Graduate Diploma of Education
• Graduate Certificate in Education

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that with regard to the Master Teaching the condition has been met and that in relation to Graduate Diploma of Education and the Graduate Certificate in Education the condition is no longer necessary.

Variation of accreditation condition

Report on the variation of a condition imposed on accreditation of two higher education courses of study offered by Metavision Institute Pty Ltd

On 9 April 2024 a delegate of TEQSA varied, under section 53 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Condition 2 imposed on the accreditation of the following courses offered by Metavision Institute Pty Ltd (refer public report of 16 December 2020):

• Graduate Diploma of Counselling (Holistic Practice)
• Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Holistic Practice)

Condition 2: By 30 September 2024, Metavision must provide TEQSA with a matrix listing the units taught by each staff member (including casual and part-time staff), the relevant qualification(s) or professional experience of the staff member in relation to those units and the scholarly activities (as distinct from professional development activities) undertaken by each staff member in the period 1 July 2023-30 June 2024.

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that the variation was a necessary update with regard to unaddressed risks upon assessment of previous reporting against this condition.

On 9 April 2024 a delegate of TEQSA varied, under section 53 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Condition 2 imposed on the accreditation of the following courses offered by Metavision Institute Pty Ltd (refer public report of 16 December 2020):

• Graduate Diploma of Counselling (Holistic Practice)

On 9 April 2024, TEQSA renewed, under section 10E of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act), the CRICOS registration of Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) for a period of 7 years until 9 April 2031.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that RMIT is complying and will comply with the requirements of the ESOS Act and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training 2018 (National Code).

Initial CRICOS registration

Report on CRICOS registration of Global Leadership Institute Pty Ltd

On 12 March 2024 TEQSA approved, under section 10 of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act), the CRICOS registration of Global Leadership Institute (GLI) for a period of 4 years until 18 July 2028 to align with GLI's TEQSA registration.

As part of this decision, TEQSA imposed the following condition, under section 10(B) of the
ESOS Act:

Condition 1

By 18 July 2025, GLI must engage a suitably qualified independent expert to undertake a review of GLI's first year of delivery to overseas students. The expert and terms of reference for this review must be approved by TEQSA. The review should assess the effectiveness of the implementation of GLI's policies and procedures in ensuring:

• em>responsible recruitment of overseas students
• its education agents act ethically, honestly and in the best interests of overseas students.
• adequate monitoring and support of overseas students

By 18 October 2025, GLI must provide TEQSA evidence of consideration of the review report, and any actions in response to the report, by its relevant governing bodies.

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that GLI meets and will continue to meet the requirements of the ESOS Act and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training 2018 (National Code).
