• accredited, under section 49 of the TEQSA Act, the following courses offered by SSR Higher Education Pty Ltd, for a period of five years until 26 April 2028:
  • Bachelor of Information
  • Master of Information Technology
  • Master of Business Administration (Leadership and Innovation)

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made these decisions on the basis that it was satisfied that SSR Higher Education Pty Ltd (SSR) meets the Provider Registration Standards, and the courses meet the Provider Course Accreditation Standards of the HES Framework. TEQSA decided that it was appropriate to register SSR for a period of five years until 26 April 2028, and to accredit SSR's Bachelor of Information Technology, Master of Information Technology and Master of Business Administration (Leadership and Innovation) courses for the same period.

The five-year period of registration and accreditation is consistent with the basic principles of regulation and reflects risks associated with an applicant for initial registration intending to offer a higher education course but having no history in the provision of higher education.

On 30 November 2023, a delegate of TEQSA extended, under section 57A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by Think: Colleges Pty Ltd

• Bachelor of Applied Social Science (Counselling)
• Bachelor of Applied Social Science (Community Service)

from 17 April 2023 until 31 December 2023.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis of protecting student interests. The delegate is satisfied that no enrolments have been accepted since the original teach out expiry date and that there will be no students remaining in the course by the extended expiry date.

Revocation of accreditation condition

Report on the revocation of condition imposed on accreditation of two higher education course of study offered by LCI Melbourne Pty Ltd (formerly Academy of Design Australia Pty Ltd)

On 30 November 2023 a delegate of TEQSA revoked, under section 53 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Conditions 1 imposed on the accreditation of the following course offered by LCI Melbourne Pty Ltd (formerly Academy of Design Australia Pty Ltd) (refer public report of 12 September 2023):

• Associate Degree in Entrepreneurship (Creative Industries)
• Bachelor of Entrepreneurship (Creative Industries)

Renewal of course accreditation

Report on renewal of accreditation of one higher education course of study offered by Eastern College Australia Limited (formerly Eastern College Australia Incorporated)

On 24 October 2023, a delegate of TEQSA:

• renewed, under section 56 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following course offered by Eastern College Limited (formerly Eastern College Australia Incorporated) for a period of seven years until 24 October 2030:
• Master of Transformational Development
• imposed, under section 53 of the TEQSA Act, one condition on the accreditation of the Master of Transformational Development.

Condition 1: Third Party Arrangements

Every 12 months, from the date of renewal of accreditation of the Master of Transformational Development, for a period of three years, Eastern College Australia Limited (formerly Eastern College Australia Incorporated) will provide a report to TEQSA, demonstrating that:

1. the terms of its Delivery with other Parties Arrangements and Performance Monitoring Policy are being met for the course
2. each Memoranda of Understanding remains in force for all offshore delivery locations for the course
3. evidence of the peak governance bodies oversight of Condition 1a and 1b.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made these decisions in light of risks that the course submitted for renewal of accreditation by Eastern College Australia Limited (formerly Eastern College Australia Incorporated) may not meet, or continue to meet, the following provisions of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021:

1. Standard 5.4.2 as Eastern College Australia Limited (formerly Eastern College Australia Incorporated) has not demonstrated accountability for the course of study, through its third party arrangements for offshore delivery of the course.

Application to withdraw conditions

In accordance with section 53 of the TEQSA Act, TEQSA may vary or revoke a condition imposed on the accreditation of a higher education course of study, either on its own initiative, or upon application by the provider for variation or revocation.
