Variation of registration condition

Report on variation of a condition imposed on registration of Kontea Pty Ltd

On 15 September 2020 a delegate of TEQSA varied, under section 32 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Condition 2 imposed on the registration of Kontea Pty Ltd (refer public report of 8 September 2020).

The condition, as varied, is as follows:

Condition 2 Academic Governance

By 31 July and 31 January each year for the period of registration, Kontea must provide TEQSA with a report which describes the steps taken by its Academic Board to ensure that:

1. Kontea has a regular cycle of review of academic policies relevant to its higher education operations which is developed, implemented and monitored; and
2. Kontea has complied with its policies on English language proficiency, English language support, and recognition of prior learning, and those policies are effective in maintaining an appropriate standard of education.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision to remove part iii of the condition as it refers to a report no longer required in Condition 4.
