    Condition 1: Staffing

    1. Prior to commencement of course delivery, The Institute for International Studies (TIIS) Pty Ltd must provide to TEQSA the staffing profile for delivery of the course and units of study including staff qualifications, experience and scholarship activities in the banking and finance field of education relevant to teaching the course.
    2. The Institute of International Studies (TIIS) Pty Ltd must not commence course delivery until TEQSA notifies it that TEQSA is satisfied that the staffing profile has sufficient capacity to meet the educational and academic support needs of students at the level of the expected learning outcomes.

    Condition 2: Course approval - benchmarking

    1. Prior to commencement of course delivery The Institute for International Studies (TIIS) Pty Ltd must provide to TEQSA copies of:
      1. an independent report on the course learning outcomes against national comparator courses approved for professional accreditation.
      2. academic governance meeting minutes approving implementation of any recommendations for revision and updating of the course learning outcomes.

    Condition 3: Professional accreditation

    1. The Institute of International Studies (TIIS) Pty Ltd must not commence marketing the Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning or enrol students in the course until TEQSA notifies it that TEQSA is satisfied that the course has been approved for professional accreditation as required for graduate employment.

    Main reasons for the decision

    TEQSA made these decisions in light of risks that the course submitted by The Institute of International Studies (TIIS) Pty Ltd may not meet, or continue to meet, the following provisions of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021:

    1. Standards 3.2.1, 3.2.2 and 3.2.3 in relation to implementation of TIIS' plan for academic staffing and scholarship.
    2. Standards 3.1.5 and 7.1.2 in relation to professional accreditation as required for graduate employment as financial advisers.
    3. Standards 5.1.3 and 1.4.1 in relation to the lack of evidence that the course approval processes considered whether the course learning outcomes have been informed by appropriate national comparator courses which have been approved for professional accreditation.

    Application to withdraw conditions

    In accordance with section 53 of the TEQSA Act, TEQSA may vary or revoke a condition imposed on the accreditation of a higher education course of study, either on its own initiative, or upon application by the provider for variation or revocation.

    1.
