TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that the courses submitted by the Australian Institute of Higher Education Pty Ltd for accreditation meet the applicable Standards of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021.

On 12 September 2022 TEQSA revoked, under section 32 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Condition 2 imposed on the registration of Australian Institute of Business and Management Pty Ltd (refer public report of 14 December 2016).

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that the condition has been met.

Revocation of registration conditions

Report on the revocation of conditions imposed on the registration of National Institute of Organisation Dynamics Australia Ltd

On 24 August 2022 TEQSA revoked, under section 32 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Conditions 1, 2 and 3 imposed on the registration of National Institute of Organisation Dynamics Australia Ltd (refer public report of 17 March 2021).

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that Conditions 1 and 2 have been met and that Condition 3 is no longer necessary.

Course accreditation

Report on accreditation of one higher education course of study offered by Southern Cross Education Institute (Higher Education) Pty Ltd

On 15 August 2022, a delegate of TEQSA:

• accredited, under section 49 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the following course offered by Southern Cross Education Institute (Higher Education) Pty Ltd, for a period of seven years until 15 August 2029:
  • Master of Social Work (Qualifying).
• imposed, under section 53 of the TEQSA Act, two conditions on the accreditation of the Master of Social Work (Qualifying).

Condition 1: Course title and representation

Southern Cross Education Institute (Higher Education) Pty Ltd is not to advertise or enrol students into the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) until it provides evidence to TEQSA that either:

1. the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) approves the course as a provisionally accredited qualification, or
2. the course title, marketing material and course information are updated to remove all references to the course holding status as a 'qualifying' degree.

Condition 2: Staffing

Southern Cross Education Institute (Higher Education) Pty Ltd (SCEI HE) is not to commence delivery of the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) until such time as TEQSA notifies SCEI HE that TEQSA is satisfied SCEI HE has appointed suitably qualified academic staff to teach and provide academic leadership in the course.

For this to be assessed by TEQSA, SCEI HE must provide TEQSA the CVs of all teaching and academic leadership staff appointed for the course, including details of SCEI HE's assessment of professional equivalency for those who do not meet the requirements of Standard 3.2.3, prior to the commencement of delivery to the first cohort of students.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made these decisions in light of risks that the course submitted by Southern Cross Education Institute (Higher Education) Pty Ltd may not continue to meet the following provisions of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021:

1. Standards 7.1.1 and 7.1.5 because representations arising from the course title may be misleading and inaccurate.
2. Standards 3.2.1, 3.2.2 and 3.2.3 related to staffing because it is unclear if the staffing profile will be sufficient to meet the needs of students or that staff with responsibilities for academic oversight and teaching have the necessary qualification, skills and experience.

Application to withdraw conditions

In accordance with section 53 of the TEQSA Act, TEQSA may vary or revoke a condition imposed on the accreditation of a higher education course of study, either on its own initiative, or upon application by the provider for variation or revocation.

On 16 August 2022, a delegate of TEQSA:

• accredited, under section 49 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the following courses offered by Australian Campus Management Pty Ltd, for a period of seven years until 16 August 2029:
  • Master of Business Administration
  • Graduate Diploma of Business
• imposed, under section 53 of the TEQSA Act, one condition on the accreditation of the Master of Business Administration and Graduate Diploma of Business:

Condition 1: Resources for course delivery

1. Prior to the commencement of course delivery from each campus location, Australian Campus Management Pty Ltd must provide to TEQSA:
   
   1. Minutes and any reports from the relevant governance body that the resources required to deliver the accredited courses will be available at the time of commencement of delivery from each campus location and are accessible when needed by students.
   2. Details of information technology facilities, learning resources, software and educational support for course delivery from each campus location.
2. Australian Campus Management Pty Ltd must not commence delivery of any of the courses until it receives notification from TEQSA that TEQSA is satisfied that sufficient teaching and learning facilities and resources are available when needed by students at each campus location.

Condition 1: Resources for course delivery

1. Prior to the commencement of course delivery from each campus location, Australian Campus Management Pty Ltd must provide to TEQSA:
   
   1. Minutes and any reports from the relevant governance body that the resources required to deliver the accredited courses will be available at the time of commencement of delivery from each campus location and are accessible when needed by students.

Australian Campus Management Pty Ltd must not commence delivery of any of the courses until it receives notification from TEQSA that TEQSA is satisfied that the staffing profile for each course has sufficient capacity to meet the educational and academic support needs of students at the level of expected learning outcomes.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made these decisions in light of risks that the courses submitted by Australian Campus Management Pty Ltd may not meet, or continue to meet, the following provisions of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021:

1. Standard 5.1.3 in relation to the course approval processes for ensuring the resources required to deliver the courses as accredited by TEQSA will be available when needed
2. Standard 3.3.1 in relation to the provision of learning resources, such as library collections, computer laboratories and software are accessible when needed by students
3. Standards 3.2.1, 3.2.2 and 3.2.3 in relation to the proposed arrangements for academic leadership, teaching and scholarship activities
4. Standard 1.1.1 in relation to the academic entry requirements for admission to the courses by students without a prior higher education qualification.
