On 23 April 2021, a delegate of TEQSA renewed, under section 56 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by the Australian College of Nursing, for a period of seven years until 23 April 2028:

Report on extension of registration of Study Group Australia Pty Ltd

On 30 March 2021, TEQSA:

• extended, under section 37A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the registration of Study Group Australia Pty Ltd from 17 October 2021 to 30 April 2022
• revoked, under section 32 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Conditions 2 and 3 imposed on the registration of Study Group Australia Pty Ltd (refer to the public report of 19 October 2019).

Main reasons for the decision

This decision reflects Study Group Australia Pty Ltd's choice to cease its registration as a higher education provider.

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that Study Group Australia Pty Ltd has adequate plans to facilitate the appropriate teach out of its higher education courses prior to the expiry of its registration period.

TEQSA made the decision to revoke the conditions on the registration of Study Group Australia Pty Ltd on the basis that it was satisfied that because Study Group Australia Pty Ltd is ceasing delivery of its higher education operations and does not intend to apply for renewal of registration, the conditions are no longer necessary.

On 30 March 2021, TEQSA:

• extended, under section 37A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the registration of Study Group Australia Pty Ltd from 17 October 2021 to 30 April 2022
• revoked, under section 32 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Conditions 2 and 3 imposed on the registration of Study Group Australia Pty Ltd (refer to the public report of 19 October 2019).

Main reasons for the decision

This decision reflects Study Group Australia Pty Ltd's choice to cease its registration as a higher education provider.

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that Study Group Australia Pty Ltd has adequate plans to facilitate the appropriate teach out of its higher education courses prior to the expiry of its registration period.

Report on renewal of registration of Australasian College of Health and Wellness Pty Ltd

On 30 March 2021, TEQSA:

• renewed, under section 36 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the registration of Australasian College of Health and Wellness Pty Ltd in the category of Higher Education Provider, for a period of four years until 30 March 2025
• renewed, under section 56 of the TEQSA Act, the accreditation of the following course of study for a period of four years until 30 March 2025:
  • Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Clinical Aesthetics).

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA has renewed the registration and the Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Clinical Aesthetics) accreditation of Australasian College of Health and Wellness Pty Ltd (ACHW) for a shortened period to allow TEQSA the opportunity to closely monitor ACHW's progress for a reasonable period and to then undertake a full, detailed assessment of ACHW's compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2015.

TEQSA holds residual concerns in relation to:

1. Corporate and Academic Governance (Domain 6)
2. Academic Quality Assurance: Monitoring, Review and Improvement (Domains 5 and 6)
3. Admission (Domain 1)
4. Staffing and Scholarship (Domain 3)
5. Diversity and Equity (Domain 2).

TEQSA will offer ACHW the opportunity to enter into a Voluntary Undertaking that specifies the actions ACHW must undertake and the timeframes for those actions, in order to satisfy TEQSA that ACHW will address these risks. TEQSA may also consider further regulatory or assurance action in relation to these matters in the future.

Report on renewal of registration of Australasian College of Health and Wellness Pty Ltd

On 30 March 2021, TEQSA:

• renewed, under section 36 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the registration of Australasian College of Health and Wellness Pty Ltd in the category of Higher Education Provider, for a period of four years until 30 March 2025
• renewed, under section 56 of the TEQSA Act, the accreditation of the following course of study for a period of four years until 30 March 2025:
  • Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Clinical Aesthetics).
