Associate Degree of Applied Engineering (Renewable Energy Technologies): Re-accreditation 19 November 2019

Renewal of course accreditation in teach out mode

Report on renewal of accreditation of a higher education course of study in teach out mode offered by Technical and Further Education Commission (TAFE NSW)

On 19 November 2019, a delegate of TEQSA renewed, under section 56 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following course in teach out mode offered by Technical and Further Education Commission, until 19 October 2021:

  • Associate Degree of Applied Engineering (Renewable Energy Technologies)

TEQSA also made a decision to impose a condition under section 53 of the TEQSA Act, on the accreditation of the Associate Degree of Applied Engineering (Renewable Energy Technologies):

  • Technical and Further Education Commission must not admit new students into the course from the date of TEQSA's decision.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it considers it appropriate to permit Technical and Further Education Commission to teach out the above course until 19 October 2021, whilst ensuring no students are admitted into the course.
