Report on renewal of accreditation of two higher education courses of study offered by ICHM Pty Ltd

On 28 November 2023, a delegate of TEQSA renewed, under section 56 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by ICHM Pty Ltd:

• Bachelor of Business (Hospitality Management), until 30 October 2027, to align with the accreditation of the nested Diploma of Business (Hospitality Management) and Associate Degree of Business (Hospitality Management):
• Undergraduate Certificate of Hotel, Tourism and Hospitality Operations, until 30 June 2025, a reduced accreditation period which is consistent with the implementation arrangements under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

Course accreditation

Report on extension of accreditation of two higher education courses of study offered by Think: Colleges Pty Ltd

On 30 November 2023, a delegate of TEQSA extended, under section 57A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by Think: Colleges Pty Ltd

• Bachelor of Applied Social Science (Counselling)
• Bachelor of Applied Social Science (Community Service)

from 17 April 2023 until 31 December 2023.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis of protecting student interests. The delegate is satisfied that no enrolments have been accepted since the original teach out expiry date and that there will be no students remaining in the course by the extended expiry date.

Report on registration of SSR Higher Education Pty Ltd

On 26 April 2023, TEQSA:

• granted, under section 21 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the application by SSR Higher Education Pty Ltd (SSR) for registration in the category of Institute of Higher Education, for a period of five years until 26 April 2028.
• accredited, under section 49 of the TEQSA Act, the following courses offered by SSR Higher Education Pty Ltd, for a period of five years until 26 April 2028:
  • Bachelor of Information
  • Master of Information Technology
  • Master of Business Administration (Leadership and Innovation)

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made these decisions on the basis that it was satisfied that SSR Higher Education Pty Ltd (SSR) meets the Provider Registration Standards, and the courses meet the Provider Course Accreditation Standards of the HES Framework. TEQSA decided that it was appropriate to register SSR for a period of five years until 26 April 2028, and to accredit SSR's Bachelor of Information Technology, Master of Information Technology and Master of Business Administration (Leadership and Innovation) courses for the same period.

The five-year period of registration and accreditation is consistent with the basic principles of regulation and reflects risks associated with an applicant for initial registration intending to offer a higher education course but having no history in the provision of higher education.
