Report on revocation of conditions imposed on registration of Sheridan College Inc.

On 25 August 2021 TEQSA revoked, under section 32 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Conditions 1, 2 and 3 imposed on the registration of Sheridan College Inc (refer public report of 6 June 2019).

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that the conditions have been met.

Varying registration condition

Report on decision to a vary condition imposed on registration of Acknowledge Education Pty Ltd.

On 25 August 2021 TEQSA varied, under section 32 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Condition 2 imposed on the registration of Acknowledge Education Pty Ltd (refer public report of 30 April 2020).

The varied condition will state:

Condition 2- Student capacity

The maximum number of higher education students to which Acknowledge Education

Pty Ltd may deliver its accredited courses of study may not exceed 2400 students

(headcount) at any time.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it is satisfied the provider has measures in place to mitigate risks associated with increased student enrolments.

Application to withdraw conditions

In accordance with section 32 of the TEQSA Act, TEQSA may vary or revoke a condition imposed on the registration of a higher education provider, either on its own initiative or upon application by the provider for variation or revocation.

Report on revocation of two conditions imposed on registration of Polytechnic Institute Australia Pty Ltd

On 25 August 2021 TEQSA revoked, under section 32 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Conditions 4 and 6 imposed on the registration of Polytechnic Institute Australia Pty Ltd (refer public report of 26 February 2019).

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that Condition 4 has been met and Condition 6 is no longer needed.

Extension of registration period

Report on extension of registration of University of South Australia

On 25 October 2021, a delegate of TEQSA extended, under section 37A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the registration of University of South Australia from 28 September 2023 to 28 September 2025.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision in order to reduce the administrative burden of regulation for the provider in response to COVID-19 and its impact on the higher education sector. This decision is consistent with the principles set out in TEQSA's policy on extensions to the period of provider registration or course accreditation, including an assessment of risks associated with the extension.

Renewal of registration

Report on renewal of registration of Christian Heritage College

On 13 October 2021, TEQSA renewed, under section 36 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the registration of Christian Heritage College in the category of Institute of Higher Education, for a period of seven years until 13 October 2028.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that Christian Heritage College continues to meet the applicable Standards of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021.

Report on accreditation of two higher education courses of study offered by Box Hill Institute

On 9 November 2021, a delegate of TEQSA accredited, under section 49 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the following courses offered by Box Hill Institute, for a period of seven years until 9 November 2028:

• Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (Learning and Teaching)
• Graduate Certificate in Adult and Vocational Education.
