On 17 November 2020, a delegate of TEQSA accredited, under section 49 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the following courses offered by Christian Heritage College, until 30 July 2024:

• Graduate Certificate of School Leadership and Management

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that the courses submitted by Christian Heritage College for accreditation meet the Provider Course Accreditation Standards of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2015.

Report on extension of registration of Holmes Institute Pty Ltd as Trustee for Holmes Institute Trust

On 13 November 2020, a delegate of TEQSA extended, under section 37A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the registration of Holmes Institute Pty Ltd as Trustee for Holmes Institute Trust from 6 February 2021 to 5 August 2021.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision in order to reduce the administrative burden of regulation for the provider in response to COVID-19 and its impact on the higher education sector. This decision is consistent with the principles set out in TEQSA's policy on extensions to the period of provider registration or course accreditation, including an assessment of risks associated with the extension.

Renewal of course accreditation

Report on renewal of accreditation of three higher education course of study offered by CIC Higher Education Pty Ltd

On 19 August 2020, TEQSA renewed, under section 56 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by CIC Higher Education Pty Ltd, for a period of five years until 19 August 2025:

• Bachelor of Business (Accounting)
• Bachelor of Business (Management)
• Bachelor of Business (Marketing).

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision to renew accreditation for a period of five years to align with the period of registration effective until 19 August 2025.

TEQSA has determined that risks of non-compliance exist, and that these risks are mitigated through the proposed action associated with the decision on the renewal of registration of CIC Higher Education Pty Ltd.

Course accreditation

Report on accreditation of one higher education course of study offered by Wentworth Institute of Higher Education Pty Ltd

On 31 August 2020, a delegate of TEQSA:

• accredited, under section 49 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the following course offered by Wentworth Institute of Higher Education Pty Ltd, for a period of five years until 31 August 2025:
• Bachelor of Information Technology.
• imposed, under section 53 of the TEQSA Act, one condition on the accreditation of the Bachelor of Information Technology.

Condition 1: Staffing

Wentworth Institute of Higher Education Pty Ltd must not commence delivery of the Bachelor of Information Technology until TEQSA notifies the provider that TEQSA is satisfied that it has appointed the necessary suitably qualified academic staff to teach and provide academic leadership in the Bachelor of Information Technology.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made these decisions in light of risks that the course submitted by Wentworth Institute of Higher Education Pty Ltd may not meet, or continue to meet, the following provisions of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2015:

1. Section 3.2 of Part A, in relation to the qualifications, and number of, academic staff engaged to teach and provide academic leadership for the Bachelor of Information Technology.

Application to withdraw conditions

In accordance with section 53 of the TEQSA Act, TEQSA may vary or revoke a condition imposed on the accreditation of a higher education course of study, either on its own initiative, or upon application by the provider for variation or revocation.
