Amendments to the Threshold Standards
The Australian Government has introduced amendments to the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021, relating to racism and governance.
The Higher Education Standards Framework Amendment (Threshold Standards) Instrument 2026 is available on the Federal Register of Legislation.
TEQSA encourages all Australian higher education providers to review the amendment, including the effective dates relevant to their institution. In the coming months TEQSA will work with the sector to support providers in applying the new standards.
