Variation of accreditation condition

Report on variation of one condition imposed on the accreditation of two higher education courses of study offered by Polytechnic Institute Australia Pty Ltd

On 18 May 2020 a delegate of TEQSA varied, under section 53 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Condition 1 imposed on the accreditation of the following courses offered by Polytechnic Institute Australia Pty Ltd (refer public report of 28 November 2016):

  • Bachelor of Networking and Telecommunications
  • Diploma of Networking Technology

The condition, as varied, is as follows:

Condition 1

Polytechnic Institute Australia Pty Ltd must not commence delivery, for each study period of the course of study until TEQSA notifies the provider that TEQSA is satisfied that the provider has in place specialised information technology facilities and resources consistent with the course of study requirements, and sufficient for students to achieve the expected learning outcomes.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was reasonable and proportionate in the circumstances.
