Report on extension of accreditation of higher education courses of study offered by Melbourne Polytechnic (formerly Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE)
On 26 May 2025, a delegate of TEQSA extended, under section 57A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by Melbourne Polytechnic (formerly Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE):
- Undergraduate Certificate in Accounting from 30 June 2025 to 27 November 2031
- Undergraduate Certificate in Agriculture from 30 June 2025 to 11 March 2029
- Undergraduate Certificate in Architectural Design from 30 June 2025 to 30 September 2026
- Undergraduate Certificate in Hospitality Management from 30 June 2025 to 27 November 2031
- Undergraduate Certificate in Music from 30 June 2025 to 30 September 2026
- Undergraduate Certificate in Network Security from 30 June 2025 to 30 June 2029
- Undergraduate Certificate in Songwriting and Music Production from 30 June 2025 to 06 April 2030
- Undergraduate Certificate in Viticulture and Winemaking from 30 June 2025 to 11 March 2029
Main reasons for the decision
TEQSA made this decision consistent with the principles set out in TEQSA's policy on extensions to the period of provider registration or course accreditation, including an assessment of risks associated with the extension.
