On 24 August 2020, a delegate of TEQSA extended, under section 57A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by William Angliss Institute of TAFE:
- Bachelor of Corporate Hospitality Service from 4 December 2022 to 4 December 2025
- Associate Degree in Corporate Hospitality Services from 4 December 2022 to 4 December 2025
- Diploma of Corporate Hospitality Service from 4 December 2022 to 4 December 2025
- Bachelor of Resort and Hotel Management from 12 October 2022 to 12 October 2025
- Bachelor of Resort and Hotel Management (International Practice) from 12 October 2022 to 12 October 2025
- Bachelor of Resort and Hotel Management (Professional Practice) from 12 October 2022 to 12 October 2025
- Associate Degree in Resort and Hotel Management from 12 October 2022 to 12 October 2025
- Diploma of Hotel Operations from 12 October 2022 to 12 October 2025
Main reasons for the decision
TEQSA made this decision in order to reduce the administrative burden of regulation for the provider in response to COVID-19 and its impact on the higher education sector. This decision is consistent with the principles set out in TEQSA's policy on extensions to the period of provider registration or course accreditation, including an assessment of risks associated with the extension.
