Rejected - Doctor of Philosophy: Accreditation Rejection 22 January 2020

Internal Review - Course accreditation

Report on application for internal review of a decision on accreditation of one higher education course of study by National Institute of Organisation Dynamics Australia Ltd

On 22 January 2020, the TEQSA Commission affirmed, under section 185 of Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the decision of a TEQSA delegate on 7 October 2019 to reject the application by the National Institute of Organisation Dynamics Australia Ltd for accreditation of the Doctor of Philosophy.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was not satisfied that the course submitted by National Institute of Organisation Dynamics Australia Ltd (NIODA) meets the following Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2015:

  1. Standard 4.2.2 of Part A in relation to NIODA's establishing the necessary depth and breadth of an institutional Doctoral level research study environment
  2. Standards 4.2.3 of Part A in relation to providing supervisory support for doctoral research students
  3. Standards 3.2.3 of Part A in relation to staff being equipped for their supervisory support for students.

Right of Review

NIODA has applied to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal for review of TEQSA's decision.
