Master of Arts Photography: Accreditation 23 June 2017
Report on accreditation of one higher education course of study offered by Photography Holdings Pty Ltd (T/as Photography Studies College)
A delegate of TEQSA has accredited, under section 49 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (the TEQSA Act), the following higher education course of study offered by Photography Holdings Pty Ltd for a period of seven years until 23 June 2024:
- Master of Arts Photography
TEQSA has, under subsection 53(1) of the TEQSA Act, imposed one condition on the accreditation of the above course of study. Photography Holdings Pty Ltd must:
By 30 September 2017 Photography Holdings Pty Ltd to provide RPL and credit transfer procedures for the Master of Arts Photography (benchmarked against comparable courses at other providers) that ensure that students admitted to the degree on the basis of RPL have the required level of background skills and knowledge to position them to achieve the course learning outcomes.
The course accreditation covers delivery at all Australian sites.
Main reasons for decision
TEQSA considers that the decision to apply conditions to the accreditation of the course of study is consistent with the basic principles for regulation in Part 2 of the TEQSA Act, as the course is at risk of not complying with the Threshold Standards.
The broad issues which relate to this course include:
- PCAS 3 in relation to the admission criteria that take account of external benchmarks and are appropriate for the required learning outcomes of the course of study
