The following communication was sent to higher education providers and peak bodies on 2 April 2020:

COVID-19 Sector Update

Provider Information Request (PIR) submission dates deferred until June

Due to COVID-19, the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency has deferred submission dates for the 2020 PIR collection. 

Providers will now have until 30 June 2020 to submit the following data files: 

  • PIR Course of Study
  • PIR Student
  • PIR Past Course Completions
  • PIR Staff

TEQSA will conduct a further review of its provider reporting obligations at the end of April 2020 and may further revise its submission deadlines at that time. 

TEQSA is writing directly to all PIR providers, to communicate this change. 

The Department’s HEIMS Data Collections Team is the primary point of contact concerning the submission of data (heims.datacollections [at] dese.gov.au). The Information Management Team (collections [at] teqsa.gov.au) is also available to respond to queries.
