TEQSA regulatory fee relief extension
The Minister for Education and Youth has announced a further extension of TEQSA’s regulatory fee relief arrangements.
Speaking at today’s TEQSA 2021 Conference, the Minister announced a 12-month extension of regulatory fee relief for the higher education sector for the duration of 2022, including fees levied by TEQSA, ASQA, CRICOS registrations and the Tuition Protection Service.
This means TEQSA will waive fees and charges for most of TEQSA’s regulatory services until 31 December 2022.
The effect of ongoing fee waivers is also that TEQSA’s previously announced transition to an increased cost recovery model will not commence until 2023.
TEQSA will continue to engage with providers during 2022 as we prepare to transition to increased cost recovery arrangements from 1 January 2023.
