2021/22 TEQSA provider meetings program
Last year, TEQSA case managers reached out to registered higher education providers to identify any further areas where the agency could assist in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
These meetings were received well by the sector and TEQSA has decided to continue these permanently.
Planning is now underway to commence the 2021-22 round of meetings this month. TEQSA anticipates that we will be able to reach out to around half of the sector by the end of 2021 and then complete remaining meetings in early 2022.
The impact of COVID-19 on providers was the main driver for last year, and this will continue to be the main theme for this year.
Restrictions continue to affect providers delivering to both domestic and international students, due to border closures and the need to periodically shut down campuses and deliver online.
TEQSA case managers will be seeking to update our information about these impacts, particularly how institutions have been managing throughout this prolonged global pandemic and what they see as future impacts.
The information from these meetings will enable TEQSA to ensure that its regulatory programs continue to meet the needs of the sector during this time.
Providers are reminded that there are some excellent resources on the TEQSA website to help with COVID-19 recovery.
