2018 conference program released
The draft program the Third Annual TEQSA Conference (28-30 November) has been released, featuring speakers from across the Australian and international higher education sectors and beyond.
The conference theme of Innovation, Excellence and Diversity has brought together speakers from diverse backgrounds, with keynote addresses set to focus on the disruptive power of technology and artificial intelligence on future learning, diversity and equity in higher education and student engagement.
The theme of this year’s conference has allowed TEQSA to assemble a program that will present a progressive and bold view on both the issues currently facing higher education, and what the future may hold.
World renowned artificial intelligence expert and leading female entrepreneur, Dr Ayesha Khanna, is set to offer her perspective on what lies ahead for education as artificial intelligence continues to make its presence known. Dr Khanna has spent more than a decade on Wall Street developing risk management and data analytical systems and has also served on the Singapore Ministry of Education’s Steering Committee on future skills and applied learning for emerging industries.
Students also feature on the program, with TEQSA’s Student Expert Advisory Group set to discuss their experiences of student engagement while studying at independent higher education providers and universities.
The conference also includes a number of networking events and opportunities to engage with TEQSA staff. Delegates will be able to attend welcome drinks, a morning tea launching the latest TEQSA Key Financial Metrics report and a lunch with TEQSA staff, aimed at helping delegates from higher education providers put a face to the name of their case manager and members of TEQSA’s senior executive.
Registration are still open for the 2018 conference, with one, two and three day packages available.
